{Quick Check In}

Hey everybody!
It has hit me that my summer vacation is almost over and school is going to be here any minute. It makes me sad in a way, but also kind of excited because I missed school to tell you the truth!

What have I been up to? I have been trying to get into shape and have finally purchased myself some ankle weights and wrist weights! I'm very excited about this because I have been looking for them because I heard they help tone the legs and arms. I have found out that they are good for powerwalking but not so great for begineer joggers.

I have also decided to do a two week cleanse which includes:
  • no sugar at all
  • no cakes, candies, or coffee
  • 2 hours of walking per day unless something doesn't work out then at least 1 hour
  • 3 meals plus two snacks
  • no beef
  • yes to pork and chicken but in moderation
  • no beverages except water and green tea
  • practice portio cntrol
  • no eating after 7:30
Wish me luck!!

  2. Beat butter and sugar in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed 5 minutes or until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Mix in sour cream, milk, food color and vanilla. {Cuteness Overload}

Sometimes I forget how adorable my baby sister is. Today Violet took some pictures of her and when I saw them I was cooing and aww-ing like a maniac.

{The Girlie Stuff}

If you are like most girls then you are very concerned about one of these things; your skin, your hair, your weight, your nails, and overall your appearance. I happen to fall in all of the categories listed above. My hair is sort of puffy so I have to always heat style it in order for it to be worthy of going out. My skin is decent with an occasional break out here and there, nothing major. My nails tend to chip really easily which is so not fun. But the main concern and topic to be discussed in this blog post would be my weight issue. I have a pear shaped body. For those who are not familiar with that, it's a body shape that is small on top and slightly heavier on the bottom (in my case, way heavier on bottom than on top which equal un proportional body shape). I have always wrestled with my body image and self esteem due to that. When I was a pre-teen I was quite heavy but around the age of 14 I lost almost all of my baby fat because I had a slight eating disorder. I started gaining weight again around the age of 17 and now I'm in the "unwanted zone". I have reached the level where I feel very uncomfortable with myself and have started annoying those people around me with my self-esteem issues. I have decided to resolve them though because I am tired of fighting with myself. Yes, I enjoy food and that will never change, but I have to do something about it before I end up weighing more than an elephant. I have been keeping a food diary which is an awesome thing to do because that way I am more aware of what I put in my mouth which in turn makes me eat less because I am constantly debating whether I want to write down a certain food that I ate. I'm not an athletic person at all so when I find those YouTube gurus that talk about losing weight I get somewhat discouraged as soon as they start talking about all the exercise involved in losing weight. I would rather starve than run a mile, but I know from experience that depriving yourself from food makes you gain weight even faster as soon as you put something fattening in your mouth. I am striving each and every day to achieve a goal and I have learned that cutting out a LOT (majority) of the foods I eat or at least resizing the portions has helped me lose at least 5 pounds in 2 months. I didn't work out much, because like I already said before I'm not athletic, but did stop eating fast food and drinking soda. This small change has been evident. I will be back with more of my losing weight updates next month. Wish me luck!

Stats:
Current Weight: 134.4 lbs
Goal: 125 lbs

{Camp Update}

Hello all you people out there,

So, I'm back from camp and it was a great experience because I was out in the wild and got the whole experience of sleeping in a tent, running up a mountain, and sitting out by the fire way past midnight. I have to admit I'm not much of a camp person because I worry about getting dirty and my hair looking messy, but I managed to stay decently clean and wash my hair daily so it wouldn't get greasy. The thing that I enjoyed about camp the most was the evenings and nights because I'm a night person and enjoy being by a fire late into the night. The one really negative part from this camping experience was that I got really sick when I got back home. I'm not sure what made me sick, the cold water or the cold nights. Either way I'm stuck in bed for the second day now, but I'm not upset because it give me time to catch up on some reading.

{Summer To-Do List}

Summer is the season where you can use the heat as an excuse to be lazy. It's also the season for lots of fun activities that you may not have time for come fall and the beginning of school. I am not a huge fan of summer because I don't enjoy the heat. I do not like sweating and being uncomfortable. I am also a person who's blood boils when the heat becomes unbearable, so I could be a pretty mean person unless you cool me down fast. I'm not a complete party pooper and still try to make the best of every season, and since summer is the time that I can actually not stress about homework I plan on doing some pretty neat things. Following is a list of things I did and want to do this summer.

-hang out at the library (the AC being the main reason why I'm attracted to that place)
-go to San Francisco, again (you can't blame me, I'm a hopeless romantic and that city is THE romantic spot that is pretty close)
-bonfire
-s'mores and hot dogs over bonfire
-write love letters
-sleep on the trampoline
-go camping (I'm leaving tomorrow)
-take pictures of the little details
-read for fun not for knowledge
-movie night with the girls and some junk food
-get a tan
-make at-home DIY face masks and pamper myself
-bake cupcakes
-watch fireworks
-beach time
-make lemonade
-try macaroons

I will update with pictures of things I do and more ideas if I think of any. Wish you all a happy summer!

{Welcome All of You Gorgeous Visitors}

Hello and welcome to my blog, All Things Lovely and Gorgeous! I'm pretty excited to start this new blog and have a source where I can display any thoughts, pictures, ideas, or randomness for you all to enjoy! I'm not new to this blogging experience because I do have another blog, but this is a start over kind of blog because I have grown so much since I made the previous blog so many years ago. My name is Angelina and I am 20 years old. I live in sunny California, but not the awesome part of it. My life is pretty simple, I go to work, I go to school, and I hang out being bored. One thing you will notice about me is that I love lists and as the entries start piling up you will see that I really REALLY love lists :) Hope you enjoy my blog and come check it out once in a while.
